Roger Bilinda

Roger is a graphic designer and he was my last portrait session of the day in our Rockville, Maryland studio. Roger’s portraits reminded me the polaroid images I snapped to test my lighting and exposure back in the day. I always used black & white negative/positive type 55 polaroid’s because the negative could be saved and most of the time the results were stunning. I carried around jars with a sodium sulfite solution to preserve the negatives which was particularly difficult when traveling. Digital photography has changed so many things.

This image was photographed with a Nikon D800 and a Nikon 85mm f/1.4 lens at f/16.
