I had a portrait assignment early in the morning in DC and from there picked up Bette at our Rockville studio and drove to a Woodbine, Maryland horse farm to photograph bridal portraits with a horse. We were warned and found out that the horse, Gus, did not like wedding dresses and one attempt had already been made to take some images which had worked out poorly. Gus is large Arabian full of affection and love plus he was a wedding gift to Denise, who is the bride. With the help of an expert, Denise and Gus preformed everything for us including jumps, riding through and standing in water to pose for pictures. Gus has a strong background as a Tennessee Walker and demonstrated that as well.

It wasn’t difficult to realize that Denise loved Gus and these were not going to be your ordinary pictures. Bette and I had the time of our life.
